Is Caroline Forbes insane?

Or just really, really, REALLY secure in her relationship?

That question is at the center of this clip from The Vampire Diaries Season 7 Episode 5, which features Bonnie and Caroline trying to act like regular roommates.

They're talking about guys, how one of them has one (STEROLINE!) and how one of them really wants one... but it's hard to be regular roommates when the discussion also centers on:

• Caroline telling her boyfriend to go spend the day with his ex-girlfriend, who also just put a Vervain spell on her that made it impossible for her and Stefan to touch.
• Bonnie heading to Mystic Falls to talk to a Heretic she just brought back to life.

Elsewhere on this installment, look for Damon to attempt to turn over a new leaf in order to make Elena proud of his actions.

Also, Enzo and Lily will both prepare for the arrival of Julian, though they will do so in very different ways.

What sort of chaos will he bring to town?

Finally, Bonnie will confront Alaric over the dangers of The Phoenix Stone and Stefan will learn a disturbing fact about his past with Valerie.

We're guessing it involves her past with Julian and a certain baby she lost as a result of his actions.
