NCIS: New Teaser Sheds Light on Ziva Mystery

Is Ziva Alive?
That's the question NCIS fans have been asking ever since CBS aired a Super Bowl promo for an upcoming episode of the series that teased a possible return for the character.
While Cote de Pablo and anyone associated with NCIS is staying quiet about the situation, an extended teaser sheds some more light on the new mystery.
We get a glimpse at some of the clues in the teaser, but Torres largely shuts them down, complaining that "Ziva David is dead."
The trailer also has some crazy sentences like:
- "It's our turn to help her."
- "She's leaving more clues."
- "It's Ziva.
Given that the teaser starts with a narration saying, "You thought her story was over," before teeing up the "the biggest secret of all," it sounds like longtime fans will get something.
It would be cruel to promote the show in such a manner just for the sake of getting a few extra viewers, and not giving any payoff.
"After a malnourished and confused 9-year-old is found hiding in a storage unit, NCIS reopens an old missing persons case when the girl is believed to be the daughter of a Navy recruit who disappeared 10 years ago," reads the official synopsis for the episode.

"Also, Bishop discovers notes that Special Agent Ziva David kept on the case long after NCIS officially stopped investigating."
It all sounds very mysterious, and given that de Pablo has remained silent on the matter, it's possible that Ziva could be stopping by to conclude her story.
If you watch NCIS online, you know that Ziva was presumed dead after a mortar attack, but her body was never recovered.
It's possible that her death was faked.
