Ratings Report: CSI is Sky-High!

As always, American Idol ruled last night in total viewers, garnering 24.3 million.
The evening's other big winner, though, was CSI. The drama pulled in 20.1 million viewers, a significant increase over the prior week. Gil Grossom, who?!?
Among other primetime pickings:
- The fifth-season premiere of Hell's Kitchen delivered a higher rating in the 18-49 demographic than than either of the week's other post-Idol shows, Fringe and Lie to Me.
- Smallville (4.2 million) and Supernatural (3.6 million) increase viewership from last week.
- With no new episode of Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice (7.7 million) did not.
