Ratings Report: American Idol (Rat) Packs in Viewers

As always, American Idol ruled Tuesday night this week. The Rat Pack-inspired performance show earned 22.5 million viewers.
But it was down a bit from last week, as many people tuned in to see Chris O'Donnell and LL Cool J on an all-new NCIS.
Among other primetime pickings:
- At 9 p.m., The Mentalist (16.9 million) actually outdrew NCIS (16.3 million), which aired an hour earlier.
- 14.3 million fans watched Chuck Wicks get booted from Dancing With the Stars, while Fringe (10.6 million) continues to heat up.
- Tough night for The CW. Ratings for Reaper (1.8 million) and 90210 (1.8 million) were cringe-inducing.
