In FlashForward, everyone around the world blacks out for two minutes and 17 seconds.

During this time, they see glimpses of their future. The series then focuses on an important question, as producer Marc Guggenheim says:

"Everyone on earth is being tested. How will they react to knowing their future?"

In the following ABC promo for the upcoming series, we see the fate of a couple of characters:

• Olivia Benford is making love to a man that is not her husband;
• An unidentified woman is pregnant, though she doesn't even had a boyfriend in the present day.
• FBI Agent Demetri Noh sees... nothing. Does this mean he dies?
