There's a development in the sad passing of A.J. Jewell.

The Fulton County Medical Examiner has ruled that Kandi Burruss' ex-fiancee died via homicide. The cause of death is officially listed as:

"Physical altercation resulting in sickle cell trait related exertional collapse, with contributing factors cited as "intestinal myocardial fidrosis," as well as an enlarged heart.

In early October, Jewell died soon after he was involved in an Atlanta strip club fight. The other man involved in the brawl, Frederick Richardson, has since been arrested and charged with voluntary manslaughter.

Said Richardson's lawyer: "It's an unfortunate situation, Frederick is sorry this situation happened and that A.J. died."
