Breaking news. Carrie Underwood is “awesome.”

We hardly needed Neil Patrick Harris to let us in on that piece of news, but we do appreciate the reassurance - and the picture he posted of them both on Twitter!

Here's a behind-the-scenes shot of Neil in character, posing with the gorgeous, newly-engaged, Grammy-winning, upcoming How I Met Your Mother guest star ...

“This week’s awesome guest star,” he wrote on his Twitter page, linking to the photo of himself with the country superstar above. “HIMYM – You’ll Love The Way We Fly!”

In an episode scheduled to air in March, Underwood is set to play Tiffany, an enigmatic pharmaceutical sales rep and love interest for wife-seeking Ted (Josh Radnor).

Hmm, Carrie looks more like a flight attendant than a drug rep. Maybe someone is having a mile high club fantasy? We can only imagine the Barney Stinson quotes ...
