Coming to NBC in 2010-2011: New Show Previews

Due to its sheer incompetence and its failed Jay Leno experiment, NBC will be premiering more shows than any other network this fall.

In total, seven new dramas and sitcoms will debut. Which should you set a series recording for? And which should never be included on your DVR schedule? Get an early look at these shows below...

THE EVENT
What is it? An average citizen stumbles upon a nationwide conspiracy after his fiancee goes missing.
Who stars in it? Jason Ritter, Blair Underwood, Zeljko Ivanek
When does it air? Mondays at 9 p.m.
Prediction: The cast is solid, but who knows with these drawn-out serialized shows? As always, it will depend on its characters and its pacing. Will we get satisfactory answers? Or more and more loos ends each week? Watch a preview NOW.

CHASE
What is it? Viewers follow around a team of U.S. Marshals in Texas.
Who stars in it? Kelli Giddish, Nolasco, Rose Rollins, Jesse Metcalfe.
When does it air? Mondays at 10 p.m.
Prediction: Producer Jerry Bruckheimer is behind it, which at least makes it clear what Chase is going for: action! Should do well in its late time slot. Watch a preview NOW.

UNDERCOVERS
What is it? Think of Mr. and Mrs. Smith, as a married couple gets back into the spy game.
Who stars in it? Boris Kodjoe, Gugu Mbatha-Raw.
When does it air? Wednesays at 8 p.m.
Prediction: If this one fails, NBC might as well throw in the towel. It's from J.J. Abrams, has a promising premise and will be hyped as much as any new show on TV. Watch a preview NOW.

Law & Order: Los Angeles
What is it? Just what it sounds like: Law & Order... in Los Angeles.
Who stars in it? TBD
When does it air? Wednesdays at 10 p.m.
Prediction: No cast has been announced, but the premise has succeeded multiple times for NBC already. This likely will, too.

Outsourced
What is it? A Midwestern company that sells novelty products has its call center transferred to India.
Who stars in it? TBD
When does it air? Thursdays at 9:30 p.m.
Prediction: Sigh. Another sitcom that focuses on stereotypes and culture clashes? Bring back Parks and Recreation! Watch a preview NOW.

Love Bites
What is it? An hour-long drama/comedy that focuses on a trio of relationships.
Who stars in it? Becki Newton, Jordana Spiro, Greg Grunberg
When does it air? Thursdays at 10 p.m.
Prediction: Should be a big hit. From a former Sex and the City writer/producer, stars an Ugly Betty favorite and has a clear audience on which it's focusing. Watch a preview NOW.

Outlaw
What is it? A Supreme Court juge resigns and starts his own law firm.
Who stars in it? Jimmy Smits, Jesse Bradford, Carly Pope, David Ramsey
When does it air? Fridays at 10 p.m.
Prediction: We love Smits. He was great on The West Wing and on Dexter, so his presence alone should make this more than just another legal procedural. Watch a preview NOW.
