Homeland: Renewed for Season 2!

Carrie Mathison will stick around to hunt down terrorists for another season.

Showtime has announced that Homeland has been picked up for season number-two, as the drama has been generating strong ratings and very positive reviews, including from TV Fanatic. We think it's by far the best new series on television.

“Homeland is just getting started,” said David Nevins, President of Entertainment, Showtime Networks Inc. “Clearly, the overall audience growth from week one to week four demonstrates that this show is hitting a nerve in the cultural zeitgeist.

"[Executive producers Howard Gordon and Alex Gansa] have created a psychological thriller that holds special relevance in the post 9/11 world. I’m quite confident that its passionate audience will be riveted as the season unfolds and people discover where this story is going.”

Homeland enjoyed its highest ratings to date this past Sunday and airs a new episode on October 30. It's previewed above.
