In anticipation of the Boardwalk Empire Season 3 premiere, which hits HBO on September 16, the network has released a handful of images from upcoming episodes of this Emmy-nominated drama.

The photos include intense shots of Michael Shannon as Agent Van Alden, along with Michael Kenneth Williams as Chalky White and, of course, Kelly Macdonald and Steve Buscemi as Margaret and Nucky.
