TV Ratings Report: Supernatural Starts Strong

It looks like Supernatural has found a welcome home on Wednesdays.

The CW drama premiered in its new timeslot to 1.8 million viewers last night, its strongest number since February 2010. That's also a 12 percent increase over the Season 7 finale.

  • Barack Obama taking on Mitt Romney garnered 35.1 million households across all four major networks, a 19 percent bump over Obama's first debate with John McCain four years ago.
  • The Neighbors drew 6.6 million, a 37 percent decrease from last Wednesday's opener.
  • The X Factor led the night among 18-49-year olds and earned 9.3 million viewers overall.
  • Animal Practice (5.2 million) and Guys With Kids (5.5 million) held mostly steady from a week ago.
