Only kings understand each other.

So says Jeffrey Wright's Valentin Narcisse in the first extended trailer for Boardwalk Empire Season 4, which premiered last night on HBO.

The footage kicks off with some poor middleman saying he only takes orders… before flipping to the power players involved in this cable drama; led, of course, by Steve Buscemi’s Nucky Thompson.

Wright will be a new recurring player this fall, coming on board as a Harlem crime boss and new foe of Nucky's, while Ron Livingston will portray an outsider who arrives in Atlantic City for mysterious reasons.

Boardwalk Empire Season 4 kicks off on HBO September 8. Watch this 90-second trailer now:
