Scandal star Kerry Washington is pregnant and expecting her first child, according to a new report. No, it's not the President's ... the father is her husband Nnamdi Asomugha.

Like her television alter ego Olivia Pope, Washington sure knows how to keep a secret. The 36-year-old actress is "about four months along," according to insiders.

Kerry Washington Expecting First Child

Kerry has not officially announced the pregnancy. Nor do we expect her to after she quietly wed 49ers cornerback Asomugha back on June 24 in Hailey, Idaho.

According to multiple reports, the couple first started dating in the summer of 2012, but few fans knew they were even together until they got married a year later.

The beloved star of the ABC hit series said she had "learned through experience" that talking about her personal life just "doesn't work" for her. You have to respect that.

As for whether this will be written into Scandal Season 3, it's unclear, although ABC sources say it's not likely, given that such an event would "slow the show down."

If Olivia Pope were to get pregnant as well, the two most likely fathers would be her love interests so far this season: Fitz (Tony Goldwyn) and Jake (Scott Foley).

Considering that Jake is currently plotting to kill Olivia's father, and Fitz is the POTUS and a married man, both scenarios would make for some serious complications.

Sounds downright Shonda-esque though, doesn't it?
