Once upon a time, there was a hybrid and his deranged family.

They lived in New Orleans and they dealt with evil forces of nature and they fought and they made up and they killed and they loved and then they had to pretend as if the baby that represented their true hope at salvation was dead and gone.

And so we'll pick up a few months later on The Originals Season 2, as The CW has released a new sneak preview of new episodes, with various cast members chiming in on what we can expect.

Danielle Campbell refers to the series as a "Gothic fairy tale," while Phoebe Tonkin and Joseph Morgan both talk up a "metamorphosis" of Hayley, who will be angrier and revenge-ier than ever when we see her again next month.
