TV Ratings Report: CSI Cyber Strong, Empire RIDICULOUS

at .

There is simply no stopping Empire.

According to the latest television ratings report, Empire Season 1 Episode 9 was viewed by 14.2 million households while garnering a 5.7 rating among 18-49-year olds.

This is yet another week-to-week increase for the drama - and it represents the highest rating for a regular broadcast network drama since an episode of Grey’s Anatomy in October 2009.

American Idol did not even open well for the series, dropping 15 percent among total viewers to 8.8 million overall.

Elsewhere around the dial...

  • CSI: Cyber officially opened to 10.3 million and a 1.8 rating, improving mightily on Stalker’s most recent performance (7.6 million/1.4) in its timeslot.
  • Also on CBS, Survivor (9.9 million/2.3) ticked down while Criminal Minds (10.5 million/1.9) grew in overall audience.
  • On ABC, The Middle (8.3 million/2.2) went up two tenths; black-ish (6.8 million/2.3) and Nashville (5.3 million/1.4) each went up up one tenth; while The Goldbergs (7.9 million/2.5) and Modern Family (9.6 million/3.4) held steady.
  • Leading out of an Arrow Season 3 rerun, part one of The 100 Season 2 finale (1.5 million/0.5) also held steady.
