TV Ratings Report: Arrow Plunges

at .  Updated at .

Well, Peter Pan now has something to sing about. It's no longer the lowest rated live Broadway musical aired on television.

NBC still ruled the night with its production of Hairspray Live! which averaged a 2.3 overall across the three hours.

Even better for the network, the over 2+ ratings were across all demos until the ten o'clock hour, when the 18-34 crowd dipped just below.

The eight o'clock hour of Hairspray Live! Was the only time slot that had over 10 million viewers anywhere across the dial Wednesday night.

FOX had a struggle on its hands. Lethal Weapon fell 0.2 to 1.4 and Empire lost 0.4 for 2.5, both new series lows.

ABC scripted fare all dropped. The Goldbergs was down 0.2 to 1.5, Speechless was down 0.2 to 1.3, a Modern Family rerun got 1.1 and black-ish was down 0.5 to 1.2. Designated Survivor dropped 0.1 to a 1.1.

CBS saw Survivor fall 0.2 to 1.7, while Criminal Minds was flat at a 1.3. Code Black, though, bucked the trend and rose 0.1 to 1.1.

The CW without a crossover is in freefall. The Arrow midseason finale, featuring a minor character death and teasing a major character return, lost about half of its crossover audience and was down 0.6 to 0.7. Frequency was down 0.1 to 0.2.
