Cable Ratings: American Horror Story Sinks Further

American Horror Story: Apocalypse is not the hit FX was hoping for.

The third episode of the crossover between American Horror Story: Murder House and American Horror Story: Coven slipped another two-tenths in the demo.

The Coven Crossover - American Horror Story Season 8 Episode 3

It secured 1.9 million total viewers and a 0.9 rating among adults 18-49. While these ratings are still strong for a cable series, they have to be a little disappointing.

The show did face tougher competition thanks to it being premiere week.

Elsewhere Wednesday night, South Park Season 22 got underway, but it was down vs. last year's premiere.

It slipped three tenths to 1.1 million viewers and a 0.7 rating. While it's down year-to-year, the premiere results were right on par with last year's average.

Trouble Coping - South Park

After staying relatively stable for a few weeks, Mayans M.C. dipped a worrying two-tenths on Tuesday night. It had 1.5 million viewers and a 0.6 rating

While most shows are dropping, USA Network's The Purge is holding up well. The Purge Season 1 Episode 4 held steady week-to-week with 1.1 million viewers and a 0.4 rating.
