Scandal concluded after seven seasons earlier this year, but two of its most popular stars will be staging a reunion of sorts on in 2019.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Bellamy Young will appear on one episode of Whiskey Cavalier, a brand new drama which stars her former Scandal co-star Scott Foley.
The series is described as a “high-octane, hour-long action dramedy that follows the adventures of tough but tender FBI super-agent Will Chase (codename: ‘Whiskey Cavalier’), played by Foley."
"Following an emotional breakup, Chase is assigned to work with badass CIA operative Francesca ‘Frankie’ Trowbridge (codename: ‘Fiery Tribune’), played by Lauren Cohan."
"Together, they lead an inter-agency team of flawed, funny and heroic spies who periodically save the world (and each other) while navigating the rocky roads of friendship, romance and office politics.”
ABC dropped the first trailer of the series in May, and it was heavy on the action, and looks set to be one of the most talked about new shows of the season.
Bellamy previously starred on Scandal as Mellie Grant, while Foley played Jake Ballard.
Scandal came to a close after seven seasons of crazy twists on ABC in April.
While Young is appearing in one episode, she might be sticking with ABC on a more permanent basis.
She was attached to the pilot of drama, False Profits, but it failed to secure a series order, but all hope is not lost.
The network is set to make a decision in the project in the coming months after redeveloping it.
It's unclear what executives did not like about the initial pilot, but it seems the network has faith in the idea if it was redeveloped.
