TV Ratings Report: Instinct Plummets in Season 2 Debut

at .

We have some bad news, Instinct Fanatics.

The series returned to CBS on Sunday night, but it failed to keep up the pace in the ratings.

Instinct Season 2 Episode 1 garnered a paltry 0.3 rating in the 18-49 demo, and 3.6 million total viewers.

This is down from both its series premiere (9 million viewers/1.0 rating), first season finale (4.5 million/0.4 rating), and first season average (6.7 million/0.6 rating).

The lower ratings could be attributed to the long wait in between seasons, but still, this is not a good start.

Big Brother, which aired before Instinct, was considerably stronger with 4.5 millon total viewers and a 1.0 rating, leading the night in the demo.

The Good Fight closed the night for CBS with just 3.1 million viewers and a 0.2 rating.

The news was also somber for What Just Happened??! With Fred Savage at Fox.

The new series secured just 809k viewers, and a 0.3 rating out of a Family Guy encore.

Burden of Truth remained steady for The CW with 547k viewers and a 0.1(!) rating.

ABC's Celebrity Family Feud (4.9 million/0.8 rating) inched down, while The $100,000 Pyramid (4.6 million/0.7 rating), and To Tell the Truth (4.1 million/0.7 rating) were up.
