After Bob advises Chris that the hospital review board has cleared him regarding the drug incident, Chris is relieved but remarks that he regrets it took the board to convince his father he wasn't lying. Sofie asks Gwen and Will not to give Hallie back to her because she can't give her what she needs...

... The two agree to take the baby back but Will explains this hasn't been fair to Hallie. He decides that they need to leave town and start their family life in another town. Gwen happily agrees but insists that they tell Sofie first. Sofie cries on Chris' shoulder and later convinces Paul that she made the right decision to give up her baby...

... Paul offers to help her plan her future but she exits to go meet with Gwen and Will. Gwen announces that they are leaving town but asks for her permission first. Shown Kit's liquor store receipt, Jack advises Carly and Katie they need proof it's Kit's receipt. After Carly leaves, Jack collapses. Told he might have septic shock, Katie rushes him to the hospital where he becomes delirious and calls Katie his wife...

... Encouraged by the nurse, Katie goes along with the ruse but when Jack comes out of it asking about Carly, she's embarrassed and tries to laugh it off. Carly returns from Chicago, having failed to find a witness to help them with Parker's case. After getting past an angry Emma, Paul delivers to Meg a collection of correspondence left behind by Craig but admits he's using the papers as an excuse to see her...

... Meg is reluctant to consider a relationship with him and later tells a concerned Emma that she's not afraid of being hurt by Paul anymore because she knows she will survive...
