Jack offers to take his mind off his troubles by taking him out to Arizona for a few Cubs' spring training games. After they leave, Carly gets a call from Kit who claims she knows who fired the second shot at Sam...

... Denying that she would ever hurt Sam and worried that the killers will go after her next, Kit asks her to meet her tonight at six at the Chicago Loop scenic shop in the Windy City. When he gets a call that Carly slipped away from her tail, Jack rushes back to town with Parker and panics when she doesn't answer her phone...

... As Sofie naps on his couch, Paul calls Gwen and tricks her into bringing Hallie over for a visit. When Gwen arrives, she's upset but Sofie is in tears, furious that Paul did this and runs out. After Chris warns Barbara that Sofie took Paul home, she blasts her son for having anything to do with Sofie...

... Paul points out that Chris sent her because he's jealous of his friendship with Sofie. After Barbara rubs some cream on his burned back, an angry Will barges in and lays into his brother for interfering. He warns him to stay out of this. Meanwhile, Sofie assures Gwen that she didn't put Paul up to tricking her...

... When she refuses to hold Hallie, Gwen encourages her. Later, Chris warns Sofie that Paul cannot be trusted. She runs to ask Paul why everyone hates him. He admits he's made mistakes and she agrees to come see him again. Will is outraged when Gwen considers giving Hallie back to Sofie...
