Recap

This week on Dancing with the Stars, the couples take on the personas of famous dynamic duos for several fantastic dances.

Lea and Artem begin the night was a Jazz routine that honors the famous duo, Bonnie and Clyde. While the choreography was called "dated," the judges applauded Lea's confidence. They earned a score of 32 with this dance.

Michael and Emma became Tarzan and Jane for a Foxtrot that was called Michael's best dance yet. Still, the scores were not as high as the couple would have liked to see. This dance earned a 25.

Janel and Val were Romeo and Juliette, dancing a Contemporary routine that earned rave reviews and perfect scores from the judges.

Tommy and Peta danced as Johnny Cash and June Carter for a Paso Doble that earned a score of 26.

Sadie and Mark's Contemporary routine in the persona of Adam Eve was stunning to watch, and earned a high score of 38.

Alfonso and Witney danced an upbeat Cha Cha honoring Batman and Robin. They earned a score of 38 for this dance.

Bethany and Derek were Lucy and Ricky Ricardo for a Salsa that earned a score of 37.

And that's round one, which means Janel and Val have won immunity thanks to their perfect score! The rest of the couples will dance off for extra points to be added to their overall scores.

Alfonso and Witney, as the highest scoring couple in the dance off, choose their opponent first. They dance the Jive against Lea and Artem, and win that dance off.

Sadie and Mark dance off against Bethany and Derek in the Cha Cha, but Bethany and Derek just barely win that competition.

That leaves Tommy and Peta to dance off against Michael and Emma with a Rumba. Tommy and Peta win the dance off.

And one couple is eliminated at the very end of the show.
