- Aaron and Marie wake up the morning after. They're in bliss.
- Aaron brings Jasmine to work with him, but he won't take her to meet his latest client in a women's prison.
- They get a new employee who is super eager named Charlotte.
- They want to argue that their client has a necessity defense. She was a schoolteacher and mom who brought a gun out to get her son seen by a doctor.
- Spencer wants them to take the case because of racism in the healthcare system.
- Charlotte is obsessed with Aaron and inspired by him. She and Jasmine bond.
- Scotty shows up at the officer to check in on him.
- Jasmine brings up that she notices some things are off with Aaron and that he may have PTSD.
- Marie's friends too bets at the hospital on when she and Aaron would sleep together.
- Marie and Aaron talk about Darius when she brings up that he wants to talk to Aaron.
- Aaron brings up that the hospital had a previous history with settling a discrimination case.
- Marie is upset about him taking the case and wants him to run things by her more.
- Scotty's boss tells him to look into Specer now that he's Aaron's boss, and Scotty is visibly getting uncomfortable with all of this.
- Aaron meets with people from the discrimination case. Two employees from the same company went to the hospital and got treated radically different with the black man not getting pain meds or proper care.
- Scotty talks to Spencer but Spencer sees through his errand boy spiel and tells him to come see Aaron in court.
- Scotty shows up and is impressed by Aaron's performance.
- Aaron questions a staff member at the hospital and breaks down how medical funds are allocated.
- Alice gets offered a deal but Spencer wants them to keep fighting.
- Aaron tells ALice why she may do better taking the deal and tells her about his own experiences.
- Alice takes the deal for four years.
- He and Spencer butt heads again but Spencer won't take funding away.
- Aaron talks to Marie about how long it was before she got rid of his belongings.
