Eight years ago.

Marie's parents watch a news story about A-Train's first draft into The Seven. They are thrilled to see the first black man in The Seven.

Marie and her sister play together, take pictures when she gets stomach pain, and head for the bathroom.

Her first period arrives, but the blood levitates. Her mother barges into the bathroom, and a scared Marie accidentally slices her throat with the period blood, killing her. Her dad hears and checks up on the commotion, meeting the same fate.

Her sister watches their parents bleeding out to death on the bathroom floor.

Present day.

Marie now resides in a children's facility. She practices controlling her blood.

She checks and learns that she has been accepted into God U. She talks to the woman responsible for the children's facility and is allowed to leave for God U.

Shetty introduces the school and what students stand to gain when they join.

Marie goes to God U and meets her roommate, Emma. Her power is shrinking to tiny sizes.

Marie lies about her family.

Students gather to witness Golden Boy test the skills of some other students.

Luke tells his girlfriend about a recurring dream he has been having.

Emma makes sexual comments about Golden Boy. Luke wins.

Marie learns that she had been rejected in the School of Crimefighting, and on confronting Brinks about the decision, he stands by it. She was accepted into the School of Performing Arts.

Marie witnesses something at night where a kid tries to escape, but soldiers catch him. Andre is present, too.

Emma introduces Marie to some Performing Arts students, but it is very cliquey.

Brink tells Luke he'd been accepted in The Seven.

Andre invites Marie to a night out with Golden Boy and his friends. Marie initially refuses, but Emma convinces her to go.

Marie, Luke, Jordan, Andre, and Kate head out.

Marie and Luke bond over the loss they've experienced.

Emma hooks up with some guy who is obsessed with her. The guy wants Emma to shrink, so Emma must force herself to throw up. It's how she shrinks.

Emma has weird sex with the guy.

Luke's friends congratulate him on being accepted into The Seven, even if that means they must compete with each other for the top position.

Andre tries to pick up some girl, but he accidentally hurts an innocent bystander.

Marie helps the injured woman, and everyone takes videos.

Brink expels Marie to protect the rest of the group.

Luke dreams about his brother asking for help.

Marie walks in on Luke as he kills Brink by burning him.

Luke tries to kill Marie, but Jordan intervenes and fights Luke.

Luke goes outside, and Andre tries to calm him down. However, he flies upwards, combusts, and explodes.
