Hilde publishes a story accusing StrataTech of knowingly poisoning its workers and covering it up. She attaches the video of Hank Gillis and Arthur Conway coming forward as whistleblowers.

Bridget tries to find more surviving employees of StrataTech to put together a class-action suit against the company.

Matt comes home to find that Sylvester has died in his bed. Family and friends come together for his funeral. Izzy moves back into the bedroom with Hilde.

Strata Tech serves Hilde with a gag order to stop her from publishing. She’s devastated. Even the fishing shack that the kids use as their headquarters is trashed, and a No Trespassing sign is posted. When she tries to post about it, she finds The Magic Hour Chronicles website has been shut down for legal reasons.

Since the court order only applies to The Magic Hour Chronicles, Hilde decides to print up a newsletter and distribute it throughout town with her article.

Izzy helps and organizes a school walkout to call attention to the damage that Strata Tech has done to Erie Harbor.

Frank Jr. follows Strata Tech’s fixer for Trip, who believes the man has been harassing her father. Frank finds the man meeting with Agent Rutherford and gets photos of him handing Rutherford an envelope.

Rutherford turns in his report to the Attorney General and gloats that Trip should have taken more of his advice. Trip then calls him out on supporting racism in Erie Harbor to keep her uncomfortable in her job and shows him the photos of him she’s sent to the Attorney General.

Ethan’s mother is fired because he took the files from her computer. She tells Izzy that working for Strata Tech meant something, that the company built Erie Harbor, and that not everyone is happy that her family is dragging it through the mud.

Bridget faces off with Grant Williams and the attorneys for Strata Tech. They offer her a large settlement to make this story go away.

Matt’s military contacts help him track down Arthur Conway, the air traffic controller who spoke in the video and worked the day Hank’s plane crashed. 

Matt and Hilde drive to Canada to meet with Arthur but discover from his young grandson that Arthur recently died. The boy goes to get his father, who turns out to be Richie Fife.
