Nancy is held by the Glasses, who plan to sacrifice her to save Tristan. Shelby leaves to check on Tristan. Nancy asks Jonas to use a relic to show her the sin she asked to erase since she can’t remember it. Just as Jonas does, Ryan rushes in and saves Nancy but breaks the relic.

Nancy is upset. She doesn’t know why she’d have a sin erased. All she remembers is something about flames. Bess tells her that the morgue received a charred body around the same time Nancy supposedly erased her sin. The body is now a ghost that is becoming close to Ace.

The power is out at Ace’s parent’s home, and it’s the first night of Passover. Ace’s mother decides to hold the seder at The Claw, invite all of Ace’s friends, and allow Ace to lead, even though his father doesn’t think he’s ready.

While Ace is hosting the seder, Nancy bursts in to find Bess. When the Glasses abducted her, they inserted a small relic into the base of her spine. It can inject her with a paralytic, killing her by 10 pm tonight if she doesn’t sacrifice herself to save Tristan.

Nancy thinks the ghost in the morgue can help. Bess helps her try to make contact, but the ghost becomes upset and it interrupts Ace’s seder.

Ace is angry that Nancy tried to contact the ghost. Interacting with the ghost is the first time he’s been happy since he and Nancy broke up. He fears that Nancy could push her away. The ghost doesn’t remember who she is, but she can now let Ace see her, and the two can actually touch her.

Ryan and Nick figure out that the cabin with the sin eater camera and printer belongs to the Clark Family Trust and that Callie Farquhar of the Families For Truth in History is a Clark.

Nancy gets a text from Tristan. He says he’s on the run from his parents and asks for Nancy’s help. She goes to meet him in the woods, but it’s a trap set up by his parents. They use Nancy to perform the ritual to remove the sin eater from Tristan, but Callie arrives with the Drew Crew. Callie uses a supernatural pendant to stop the ritual. She is the sin eater’s minder. It is her job to protect the sin eater and keep the town’s secrets hidden. Her family has held the position since Horseshoe Bay was formed.

Callie warns the Drew Crew that if they ever try to break the sin eater’s legacy as the Glasses did, she’ll come after them without mercy.

Nancy sees the printout of her at the sin eater fountain. She realizes that it was only half an hour after a phone call she had with Ace. Nancy tells Ace that together, they may be responsible for Jane Doe’s death, but neither can remember.

Elsewhere, Judge Abbott is feeling guilty and offers to go back to the sin eater fountain so that he’ll be the next sinner and Nancy will be saved. Nick is upset when George appears to take him up on his plan. But after talking to Nick, George tells Abbott they can’t sacrifice one life for another. Since he took a chance on her letting her work as his clerk, she’ll help him try and find redemption for what he’s done.

Nick plans a road trip with Jade. He asks George if she’s okay with that. She says she thinks so, as long as she can see his road from her road.

Jean tells Carson she’s pregnant.
