Recap

In Episode 2, it examines the fear of death and makes the guests face their own mortality. It begins with Zoe having a panic attack outside and Frances checking on her. Zoe tells her that Zach killed himself the day before their 18th birthday.

Zoe talks bitterly about their family baggage. Frances comforts and hugs her, which Heather sees. Zoe repeatedly tries to convince herself and everyone else that she and Zach weren't close. She then treasures both women she's fine and goes running.

Inside, Tony is still mad about the contraband being missing and that the workers tossed their cell phones. Everyone starts fighting. Lars suspects Masha picked them because they complement each other's demons and are damaged.

Masha says she looks for potential and then questions why Frances is so indifferent about her life. Frances counters that Masha is driven to perfection that she whittles away other's imperfections, and she came to the retreat for fun.

Later at the pool, Jessica tells Frances she's a big fan of her books. They both try to figure out what the other person's crisis is, though neither is completely honest.

At breakfast, Carmel is thrilled she lost weight. Ben questions why that is so important when she already looks good. Tony comes out and apologizes for the night before.

Masha receives more threats and Yao is there to support her.

That day the guests had to dig a grave and lay in it. The guests had to envision their lives, their secrets, and their misdeeds. Masha then said it was time for them to be reborn and start again.

Heather had a really hard time with this one and almost jump off a cliff. Delilah talked gently to her and talked her down.
