After learning that Kate might have a thing for Daniel, Daniel takes a case away involving a corporation possibly poisoning residents.

Turns out it isn't and a crusader against the corporation altered facts.

The symptoms a group of girls were having were caused by a deep build up of guilt over a sex tape they had filmed of an unpopular girl named Pattie which they believed resulted in her death.

Rather Pattie was killed after the wife of the owner of the corporation learned that her husband was still having an affair. Pattie was his daughter and she also happened to be sleeping unknowingly with her step-brother.

Daniel confronts Kate about her feelings to which she denies any. She learns that Donnie got involved.
