Rizzoli & Isles Season 6 Episode 10 revolves around the mysterious death of a woman, Mona, who was seemingly killed by her dog, Duke. Duke is a large dog that by all accounts was sweet and gentle, but the woman has bite marks so the dog must be euthanized.

Vince goes on a mission to save the dog, while Maura and Jane try to find out what actually happened. The woman was poisoned, and it's believed the poison was meant for the dog. The investigation hits some dead ends because there doesn't seem to be a motive, until Jane and Vince talk to one of the dead woman's daughters.

The investigation leads the detectives to a darker side of the dog show world, full of jealous rivals, as well as to neighbors and family that might have had it in for the dog. In the meantime, Maura has a dilemma of her own when Kent suddenly kisses her! And Angela also dons a detective hat to try to find out what's going on between Frankie and Jane.
