Kirsten and the team are put on the case of the recent death of a man named Derek who was a known hacker. Kirsten is stitched into his memories and finds out the moment he got an email from a website which specializes in cheating spouses, his insulin pump started going haywire which killed him. Kirsten and Cameron do some research into Derek, but are quickly contacted by a woman named Ellie who proves to them she's an expert hacker. Ellie proves how good she is by hacking into Cameron's financial records and freezing all of his accounts. Meanwhile, she puts a warrant out for Kirsten arrest, but thankfully when the police arrive the warrant magically disappears. Kirsten realizes Ellie is trying to show them they're messing with the wrong person, but Kirsten is one step ahead of her. She realizes Ellie has a personal vendetta against Derek and wants to be stitched back into Derek's memories to dive into his guilt emotions. While in his memories, she realizes Ellie is actually Derek's ex wife and he cheated on her through the website. They're able to track her down and bring her into the station, but she refuses to talk to anyone except for Kirsten.
