George awakens on July 1. He convinces a bank official to fund Hazard Lights, his business-forecasting app. He and his girlfriend Sarah go to a restaurant to celebrate while news of the latest deadly virus airs on a big screen. Sarah tells George she's pregnant. They get married. The MERS-22 virus sweeps through London and Sarah catches it. Then George flashes back to July 1 again, recalling all that happened before. George loses the loan when he informs the bank official they've already had their meeting. Sarah also looks at him like he's crazy when he tells her they've had this day before. George becomes obsessed with his re-living time. Sarah moves out. A woman approaches George about his time research. She gives him an address to go to the next time he jumps back. George goes back to July 1 again and Sarah returns. He rushes to the address. The woman, Archie, informs George he's a mutant who can recall time jumps. She's part of the top-secret Lazarus Project, which prevents mass-extinction events through time travel. He meets his new boss, Mom, and his coworkers. George sings "End of the World As We Know It" at karaoke. At Karl's dinner party, George purposefully gives him a bad investment tip. George turns up a link between the theft of a warhead and former Lazarus member turned terrorist Dennis Rebrov. Karl confronts Sarah about George's bad investment tip. Karl pushes her and George saves her from being hit by a garbage truck. The team goes to Paris seeking Rebrov's squad. The raid goes badly, with Archie and Dane killed. Mum calls for a time jump back before Rebrov detonates the warhead. The confrontation between Karl and Sarah happens again, only George is on the phone this time and can't save her.
