At the police station, Rawlins and Wiseman ask Liv about the confrontation with Garth, and she admits that she didn’t realize how many times she hit him in the head.

Liv isn’t charged, and she and Will return home to their disheveled apartment, where Live promptly cleans it. Later, Will tells her he’s requested a transfer and wants to return to England, but Liv tells him she wants a divorce.

Liv and Ash celebrate before retreating to Ash’s apartment, where they drink, dance, and hook up.

Upon returning home, Will tells Liv they are not getting divorced, and she tells him about hooking up with Ash. After Will begs, he tells Liv that he will tell the police she meant to kill Garth if she tries to divorce him.

Liv gets a call from Marissa and goes to the hotel to throw Will a surprise going away party. Liv gives an awkward speech before talking to Marissa, who admits to the affair with Liv.

When Will tries to leave with Liv, she escapes in a cab and locks him out before visiting Cara’s grave.

That night, she downloads files to a flash drive. The following morning, she secretly records Will admitting that Liv killed Garth to save herself.

At the airport, Liv and Will are stopped by TSA before boarding the plane to London. Rawlins and Wiseman then show up and play the video of Will and Cara having sex before arresting Will on suspicion of murder.

Will admits to the police he is on the tape, while Liv admits that she gave a false alibi to protect Will.

The police then show Will the raincoat Cara was found in, which they will test for Will’s DNA.

Three months later, Will calls Liv from jail, and she visits him. He asks her to wait for him before telling her she knows he killed Cara. Liv then tells him she’s pregnant, though she doesn’t believe him. And when Will asks why she killed Cara, she tells him she did it because she thought it was him.

Liv returns to Yosemite to the site of Cara’s fall.
