Even with an evil demon queen running around and people dying, there's always time for a night out on the town. Put on your cocktail dresses and suits, Shadowhunters fans! The magical folk are throwing a party on Shadowhunters Season 3 Episode 2.

As we mentioned in the latest teaser for "The Powers That Be," there will be a new High Warlock taking over the responsibilities of leading Brooklyn. He's moved to town and brought the drama with him.

What should be a glamorous night welcoming in a new leading figure to the city has turned slightly sour. Based on the preview photos below, there's some slight uncomfortable tension between Magnus, Alec and the new High Warlock, Lorenzo Rey. What could have happened at the party?

1. Warlocks Assemble

The Warlocks of New York City have assembled for a special night out. The new High Warlock of Brooklyn has arrived to town and it's time to celebrate the big moment. Everyone is attending to enjoy the festivities.

2. The New High Warlock

With Magnus no longer assuming the responsibilities or title, someone had to take over as the High Warlock of Brooklyn. (Magnus did get demoted, after all.) The position has been filled by the mysterious Lorenzo Rey.

3. A Familiar Adversary

Lorenzo Rey has a tumultuous past with Magnus Bane. Will their shared experiences cause trouble for our favorite Warlock? Based on the teaser promo, things are only getting started.

4. Life Of The Party

Even in his lowest of lows, Magnus can always find a way to have fun at a party. He will stay all smiles, even when he's not happy to see Lorenzo around.

5. Date Night

Now it's time for Alec to get a taste of the other world. Magnus has spent a lot of time around Shadowhunters while dating Alec and integrating into Alec's world. For tonight, Alec is going to meet all of the warlocks in Magnus' life.

6. Catarina Loss

One of those important Warlocks in Magnus's life is his friend Catarina Loss. Catarina is an old friend who has helped the Warlock and the Shadowhunters in the past with their missions. She is a healer at the hospital and she's looking after Madzie.

7. Madzie Returns

Madzie, the silent warlock from Shadowhunters Season 2, has returned and she's ready for a party. She and Alec are having a little fun playing paddy-cake.

8. Corrupted Magic

Something is amiss in New York City. A demonic presence has corrupted the magic and it's affecting all of the Warlocks. But who could be the cause of all the trouble?

9. Preventative Measures

Alec might have a risky plan up his sleeve to protect the magic and figure out who's responsible. Unfortunately for him, his move could be dangerous if something were to go wrong.

10. Protect The Child

Is there trouble at the party? Why does everyone look worried? Things don't look good for what was supposed to be a fun night out.
