One Life To Live News: Asa Buchanan to Die Off-Screen
Because Phil Carey declined to continue on with One Life to Live this past spring, those behind the show had a decision to make:
How will they get rid of his long-time character, Asa Buchanan? Well, the choice has been made - and Asa will die off-screen.
The funeral will coincide with One Life to Live's 10,000th episode August 17 and will give past cast members a chance to reunite over this monumental passing. Those expected back for the show include:
- Nathan Fillion
- James DePaiva
- Dan Gauthier
- John Loprieno
- Tonja Walker

asa was a big part of the success of this show. it hasnt done as well the last couple of years after he was moved to the background.

the show will not be the same without him. at least, here lately, even though he wasn't seen, you thought he was there. i'm glad his death isn't true to real life.
