Blair Redford: Ready for Passions

by at . Comments

A former cast member on The Young and the Restless, Blair Redford is getting ready for his debut on Passions, scheduled for December 24.

Below, the actor speaks with Soap Opera Digest about the role:

Soap Opera Digest: What have you been doing since leaving The Young and the Restless?
Blair Redford: I've been doing some prime-time. I did an episode of Cane, and a couple of episodes of October Road. I also filmed a horror movie called Dance of the Dead, which was really fun. My character is in a rock band, so I learned how to play the guitar.

Digest: Do you keep in touch with anyone from The Young and the Restless? Have you talked to Tracey Bregman [Lauren] lately?
Redford: No, I haven't talked to her in a long time. She is so busy with the show, and because of the schedules of soaps, I feel like you're friends with who you work with at the time.

Digest: How did Passions come about?
Redford: My agent called and sent me out for it. I auditioned and screen-tested.

Digest: Have you prepared to be shirtless often?
Redford: I work out a lot anyway, but once the script kept saying the scene called for me to be shirtless, I figured I'd better do something about it [laughs].

You are the best Miguel Lopez-Fitzgerald of all three! Jesse Metcalf is second. Adrian Bellani is third. You are plain awesome. I wanna meet you so badly.

I'm just so inlove with your character. You're an amazing actor and probably a well decant person in real life. Congratulations in your future.

Woohoo - go Chiefs! My daughter is a budding thespian at Sequoyah (Mr. Parker has this link on his website). Hopefully she'll follow in your footsteps one day. Congrats Blair! Cathy Johns
