With Amy Poehler leaving the show for motherhood and Tina Fey's brief return as Sarah Palin over, Saturday Night Live was severely lacking in estrogen.  According to the New York Times, Saturday Night Live has added two new female cast member to replace them.

Abby Elliott (left) and Michaela Watkins (right) will join the cast on Saturday as regular cast members.  Elliott is from Wilton, Connecticut and performed with the improve group the Upright Citizen Brigade.  Watkins is from Syracuse and is an actress and sketch artist who trained with the Groundlings improv group.

According to excutive producer, Lorne Michaels, SNL will be adding more cast members later this season.  The question is, will these ladies be enough for SNL now that hte political material is gone?
