While Lost fans may have known for a long time that the final three seasons of the show would run uninterrupted (as in no weeks off from the show), original cast member Jorge Garcia (who plays Hurley) has confirmed the news as official for season five.

According to what Hurley told TV Guide, "This season, I think, is going to run straight through. Last season, they skipped a week before the finale and had a clip show, so we might do that. But for the most part, it should run straight through."

Last season took a five week break due to the WGA strike and this season might face similia problems from the SAG (Screen Actors Guild) when they vote in early January.

The next two seasons are expected to have 17 episodes.  This upcoming season, five, starts January 21st with a three hour event.  The first hour will be a catch-up special and the second two hours will be brand new episodes, "Because You Left" and "The Lie."

Get ready Lost fans for an incredible season!
