Ratings Report: Positive Signs for Parks and Recreation

at .

Parks and Recreation is likely on its way to a permanent place on NBC's Thursday night line-up.

Amy Poehler's sitcom saw its audience fall by approximately one million viewers from last week's Office-boosted premiere (5.9 million versus 6.9 million). But the show was still a major upgrade over NBC's former 8:30 p.m. occupant, the atrocious Kath & Kim.

Plan of Attack

Among other primetime pickings:

  • The Office was the evening's top-rated show among adults 18-49 years old.
  • Southland (9.6 million) continued to be strong.
  • Bones (8.7 million) was down about two million viewers from the night before.
