The Vampire Diaries Draws Record Ratings for The CW

Did you miss the premiere of The Vampire Diaries last night? If so, you were in the minority.

Following a lackluster debut for Melrose Place, this CW series more than made up for it: 4.84 million viewers tuned in for the opening episode, helping it beat out last year's premiere of 90210 as the network's most-watched premiere ever.
