American Horror Story to Premiere on FX in October

Clear eyes, full hears, can't lose... Connie Britton from the small screen!

Days Friday Night Lights left viewers in tears with its series finale, the star's next project has been officially picked up by FX. Britton will star alongside Dylan McDermott in American Horror Story, a drama brought to the network by Glee producers Ryan Murphy Brad Falchuk.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Ryan and Brad back to their original home,” said FX president John Landgraf, referring the duo’s collaboration on Nip/Tuck. “They have shown an uncanny ability to bring original series to the air unlike any that have come before, and to reconcile ‘wildly entertaining’ with the ‘creatively ambitious.’ This series is going to blow audiences back in their seats, and we can’t wait to have it on our air.”

Little is known about American Horror Story, except this:

McDermott and Britton will play a married couple that relocates from Boston to Los Angeles in order to avoid painful memories of some kind.

The actor will play a therapist named Ben Harmon, while Jessica Lange portrays the pair's nosy neighbor, Constance. Denis O’Hare will recur and Frances Conroy and Alexandra Breckenridge have already been named as guest stars.

Not a Dylan fan, but am missing Dark Blue :( Love Connie, though, so I'll give this a shot.
