Garcelle Beauvais on Franklin & Bash Season 2: Yay!

Garcelle Beauvais couldn't be more excited that Franklin & Bash got picked up for a second season. But the actress, who plays Hanna Linden on the TNT series, wishes she had heard the news in a different manner.

"I found out on Twitter!" she told me today.

Of course, Beauvais is thrilled about the news regardless of how it came her way. She cites two key reasons:

"We had the best time filming it. We would play music in between takes and everyone would goof around. It was just so much fun."
Hanna is work-oriented for now, but the actress hopes "season two delves into her background a bit and we find out what makes her tick."

Beauvais enjoys that Hanna is "unapologetic" about who she is, and has even created her own backstory for the character.

"There's gotta be something behind why she's so driven," the star said. "I think she wanted to be a daddy's girl, she wanted to impress him... But this is who she is. Take it or leave it. I love that about her."

Franklin & Bash airs a new episode tonight and then one more next week. After that, Beauvais and company will return in the summer of 2012.
