So states Simon Cowell at the outset of the following trailer for The X Factor, the country's first extended look at the reunion of this judge and Paula Abdul, as well as Fox's hope for a fall version of American Idol.

Don't worry, though, the change doesn't last long.

The preview quickly jumps into scenes from the actual show, set to a classic rock song and featuring Simon at his snarkiest. We also get our first looks at panelists Nicole Scherzinger and L.A. Reid, as well as host Steve Jones.
