The Walking Dead to Super Size Premiere, Take Lengthy Hiatus

by at . Comments

AMC has announced very good news and very bad news regarding The Walking Dead.

First, the very good: the drama will return on October 16 with a 90-minute episode.

Now, for the less than very good: after airing six consecutive episodes, the show will take a lengthy hiatus and then return on February 12 to finish off the season.

This does, however, does guarantee no confusing interruptions from week to week. A pair of six-episodes stints of zombie killing and survivor drama? I'll take it.

They've managed to stretch this season beyond the breaking point just so they can butt it up against the probable return of Mad Men in April. Way to go, AMC. I swear this network was the inspiration for Murphy's Law.

Why the long hiatus? They don't have sports on, right? UGH. Way to kill a show...
