I love this show. I've never had an opinion one way or the other about Ginnifer Goodwin, but watching her Snow White bravely insist she and Charming give up their newborn to save her and then breaking down in tears when father and daughter left sold me. This show needs an end date, a la "Lost", so it has direction in the storytelling, but I can't wait to see how the stories of both worlds unfold.

Absolutely incredible! I loved it and seriously cannot wait for the next episode. Welcome to my DVR list, Once Upon a Time!
I really enjoyed this and can't wait for next week. I hope this is a mini series so there will be an ending to satisfy. Henry is great and it's fun to figure out what storybook character the modern character is and how it all fits together. Just like a satisfying jigsaw puzzle. Looking forward to all of it.

I like the episode but waiting for it to flesh out through the season. One thing that is an issue is pinning the hopes of all the characters on one heroine. In Fables the comics Show concept that it sort of replaces it is very different. The key to the Fairytale characters winning is transcending their fairytale weaknesses and insecurities as they live their lives in the real world. Snow White deals with a philandering ex Prince Charming and a jealous sister Rose Red. The Big Bad Wolf become an antihero. And the meek Frog Prince loses everything to become a legendary king to rival King Arthur. If Once Upon a Time can do that the show will continue to be a hit

I love stories like these! The show was amazing but unfortunately I can't help but think.... What happens after? What's gonna happen after Emma defers the evil witch... I guess thats why the call them mini series huh?

This was a terrible show.
What happened to GOOD stories and GOOD actors.
Jennifer Morrison is not a good actress.

The acting of the boy is only reason to watch this muddled mess. Yes, the mad man in the cage, you know the one that is trying to be a mixture of the Joker and Lector, was worth a laugh. When is the 'witch' going to get to the mirror mirror on the wall part. This is going to be more Star Treck than Lost.

I like the show so far, it's interesting.
You want to see what happens to the fairy tale characters and their alteregos
on Earth in Maine. And i'm waiting to see the Evil Witch Malacifent.
She's supposedly going to be played by Kristin Bauer Van Stratten, who plays
Pam of HBO's TrueBlood.

I thought it was very clever and well done. I love the dwarf Grumpy, it was played so well. What is with Charming in the ICU?

I gave it a chance because Im a huge Lost fan, and Im glad I did. Missed the last ten minutes because of a sick baby, but Im definately intrigued. I love that it's an 8:00 show that I can watch with my 10-yr-old too. The only other appropriate shows for her at that time are on Nick or Disney and Ive about had my fill of Icarly, lol. Hopefully it stays PG rated

I have to say I really enjoyed the episode and can't wait to see where this goes. I love all the little production details. The red apples in a bowl in the Mayor/Evil Queen's Office. Asking if she wants some special apple cider. It was awesome. Also Emma walking through the woods to Granny's.

i did not expect to like this but i did, i loved it. there is sth enchanting(for the lack any other word) in it.
i will definitely keep watching it, minus the fact that Jennifer Morrison looks like in her late thirties instead of twenties, everything was spooky enough to seem like one twisted kind of magic. and Morrison completely sells the role with her acting so the age can be assumed 28. the boy is adorable and i agree, Mr Gold has it the best, i don't see why he would want to go back to the dungeon aside from the fact that he might not remember that he was in the dungeon. he seemed to have a feeling about Emma, like sth significant just happened and he should know about it, but i am not sure he knows the specifics. or did the evil queen curse only the good people and the bad got their happy ending, he sure is better off then most.
from the ending we can be more or less sure that the evil queen has her memory for sure, i mean the way she was holding on to that book, she knows al

My question is how can Prince Charming still be in the hospital after 28 years? Great start otherwise.
