Golden Globe Award Nominees: New Girl, Homeland and More

at . Comments

Breaking Bad is not nominated for the 2012 Golden Globe Award for Best Drama Series. That simple fact should make it clear just how ridiculous The Hollywood Foreign Press Association can be.

So prepare to be confused and angered by the nominations that were announced this morning - and pleasantly surprised by a few: go New Girl! - for the January 15 ceremony, which will be hosted by Ricky Gervais...

Why is Supernatural snubbed.. 7 years people! J2 deserve awards for this sho
w and Misha Collins should get a nom for castiel!

I started watching New Girl and really enjoyed the performances, but the writing was TERRIBLE. The last episode I watched was some wedding episode. It was just so bad, I could not bear and watch it anymore. With shows like Modern Family, Community and 30 Rock on the air, there is no reason I should be wasting time watching a show only to "hope" it gets better. I do agree with Zooey's nomination. She's great, too bad the writing isn't on par.

I cannot believe that Jim Parsons is not nominated!!! He is a much better actor tan Johnny Galecki!!! Also, Why is Big Bang not nominated for best TV Comedy?!? What the frak!

man, you really hit the nail on the head when you said "confused and angered". Is Dan Harmon just universally hated in Hollywood? Has he been blackballed or something? Because I don't understand how Community continues to be snubbed by everyone, and Glee continues to get accolades. ANY given episode of Community this year was better than all of season 2 of Glee. I also found it funnier than Episodes (the British version was WAY funnier). And I don't understand the sudden disappearance of Neil Patrick Harris from the comedy categories. HIMYM wasn't all that great, but he gave some killer performances this year with the return of his father. And how does Downton Abbey count as a miniseries when it's 15 episodes? That's MORE than Homeland! (sigh) The world has gone mad...

No Breaking Bad for Best Drama? No Katey Sagal for best Lead in a Drama? Well, looks like I'm going to be skipping this one.

Omw. What is wrong with the SAGA and HFPA people? Why the frak is Glee nominated at all and not TBBT and Hot in Cleveland? Seriously?
Love that Madeline Stowe is nominated for Revenge. That's awesome. It should also be nominated for Best drama series! American horror story is just so confusing.
And ricky gervais is presenting. Even worse! * I'm covering my eyes and shaking my head *
