The CW Pilot Pickups: The Carrie Diaries, First Cut, Arrow, Cult, Beauty and the Beast

The Carrie Diaries: A prequel to Sex and the City, starring AnnaSophia Robb as the character Sarah Jessica Parker made famous. Follows Carrie Bradshaw around through high school in the 1980s.

First Cut: A medical drama that's centered around Mamie Gummer as Emily, a new doctor who discovers that life in a hospital can be as messy and complicated as her life as a student. Also stars: Justin Hartley as Will, Michael Rady as Micah, Aja Naomi King as Cassandra, Kelly McCreary as Tyra and Necar Zadegan as Gina.

Cult: Matt Davis portrays an investigative journalist who teams with a research assistant (Jessica Lucas) on the show-within-a-show, Cult, to look into what appears to be killings based on that show's storylines.

Arrow: Stars Stephen Amell as Oliver Queen and is based on the iconic Green Arrow comic book character.

Beauty and the Beast: A modern day retelling of this fairy tale, with Kristin Kreuk as a homicide detective and Jay Ryan as the mysterious man, presumed to be dead, who saved her life many years ago.
