Homeland Creator Teases Season 2 Time Jump, What Carrie Remembers

by at . Comments

Homeland Season 2 will premiere on September 30, while Comic-Con attendees will be treated to a special sneak preview on July 12 in San Diego.

But come on. That's still a long time to wait for intel on the best new show of 2011.

Fortunately, creator Howard Gordon spoke to E! News at the Monte-Carlo Television Festival and dropped the following hints/spoilers regarding upcoming Homeland episodes...

Carrie Does Surveillance

Season 2 will kick off six months after events on the Season 1 finale.

Will Carrie's memory be completely wiped out? "She'll remember, but not in a way you'd expect," Gordon says.

More on Carrie: "We are going to see how important her father and sister are to her. And also we are going to see where she places herself as a woman in the world who is entitled to have those things - is she entitled to have those things, does she think she's entitled to have those things?"

What about Brody? Is he a good guy? A bad guy? Does he really plan on taking down America from his new political post in D.C.? He said so on the finale, but Gordon teases: Did Brody mean it? Did Abu Nazir trust him entirely? We'll find out.

Danielle, free museums are alayws good. Too bad there is a closed area, but that is understandable and too bad the tour doesn't take you at least briefly into the stacks. That would be really interesting.Carrie, one day I will see the originals. And thanks for the tip about the Natural History Museum!Healy, I'll make it to DC one of these days!Emily, ooo time disappears inside the LOC? That's ok by me! And is that an offer to be a tour guide? I might have to take you up on it one day if it is!Keisha, it's odd that it isn't going to the west coast. Maybe it has budget constraints or something. And what a bummer you couldn't convince your family to go to the LOC while you were there!Dorothy, you've been to DC but not the LOC? You must have had some sort of anti-library shield up either that you have a lot of willpower!

Can't wait for september 30...I love this show.
