Homeland Creator Teases Season 2 Time Jump, What Carrie Remembers

at .

Homeland Season 2 will premiere on September 30, while Comic-Con attendees will be treated to a special sneak preview on July 12 in San Diego.

But come on. That's still a long time to wait for intel on the best new show of 2011.

Fortunately, creator Howard Gordon spoke to E! News at the Monte-Carlo Television Festival and dropped the following hints/spoilers regarding upcoming Homeland episodes...

Carrie Does Surveillance

Season 2 will kick off six months after events on the Season 1 finale.

Will Carrie's memory be completely wiped out? "She'll remember, but not in a way you'd expect," Gordon says.

More on Carrie: "We are going to see how important her father and sister are to her. And also we are going to see where she places herself as a woman in the world who is entitled to have those things - is she entitled to have those things, does she think she's entitled to have those things?"

What about Brody? Is he a good guy? A bad guy? Does he really plan on taking down America from his new political post in D.C.? He said so on the finale, but Gordon teases: Did Brody mean it? Did Abu Nazir trust him entirely? We'll find out.

Homeland Quotes

Carrie: I missed something once before. I won't, I can't let that happen again.
Saul: It was ten years ago. Everyone missed something that day.
Carrie: Everyone's not me.

Carrie: Because Abu Nazir is playing the long game. This way no one expects a thing.
Saul: Except you?
Carrie: Except me.
