TV Ratings Report: Very Strong Perception

TNT exploded with a very strong Monday night in the cable ratings game.

First, The Closer kicked off its final run of episodes with 6.1 million total viewers, actually a 15 percent decrease from the Season 7 premiere last summer, but the most impressive audience to date in 2012 for a returning summer series.

Eric McCormack and Perception then took full advantage of this lead-in, debuting to 5.6 million households and becoming the second most-watched premiere of the past two months (Dallas).
