Year in Review: Saddest Character Death of 2012

at . Comments

Before we pop the champagne in celebration of the new year, let's take a moment and pour one out for those we lost in 2012.

From plane crashes to lead pipe attacks, a number of beloved characters took their final breath over the past dozen months.

Which death hit you the hardest? Which left an ever-lasting impression? Which made you create a doll of the showrunner in question to burn in effigy as you cried yourself to sleep every night very sad?

Alaric, Lexie Grey and Mark Sloan, fucking duh people.

Alaric Saltzman. Rest In Peace.

The saddest death goes to the great T-Dog from the Walking Dead, he will never be forgotten!

I will always love Lexie and always miss her soooo much, her and Mark where meant to be. Also Mike, Mark, and Alaric of course

The absolutely saddest death of 2012 in a tv series is Edith Ross from the show Suits. Her sass and relationship with her grandson Mike was a treat to watch!

Her death was completely unnecessary and I did create an effigy of Shonda Rhimes and had it burned

Lexie for sure!

As Kate said Mark, Lexie and Henry on Grey's. I cried so much during those episodes. The one death I enjoyed was Percy on Nikita. It was symbolic that he was dropped down the silo in which Nikita escaped.

Mark (greys anatomy)

I've got to go with Opie on Sons of Anarchy. Ever since Donna died, Opie has been on a long, painful, lonely road that lead him to the moment where he basically volunteered to have his skull bashed in to end it all while saving his best friend. It was damn hard to watch.
